Protecting and Promoting the Human Rights of People with Disabilities

Long Life’s mission is to work with and on behalf of New Yorkers’ both with and without disabilities pursue the lifestyle of their choice by deconstructing barriers to inclusion, promoting self-advocacy, and facilitating independent living.

We believe that people with disabilities have the same right to pursue their aspirations, dreams, and desires as people without disabilities.

People with disabilities have the right to live their life as they see fit and engage in the lifestyle of their choice.

People with disabilities are entitled to struggle against any force that tries to deny them access to health or wellness services, housing, employment, personal relationships, intimacy, financial security, education, spiritual expression, and cultural enrichment.

We offer supportive housing, supportive employment, recreation, nutrition, art, and service coordination that is Individualized and centered around the person and the unique circumstances of their lifestyle and family.
